ROBYN COLLIER has been a professional artist, painting wilderness for forty-five years. Many of those years have been spent visiting the isolated, flooded valley of Burragorang, near Sydney in NSW and painting its remaining beauty. During that time, she has held a position of privilege due to the remarkable amount of access she has been able to receive to enter the Valley – catchment for Sydney’s major water supply. It is now difficult – almost impossible to visit. This book is the story of those years, her recent trips into this area and some of the paintings that have been created from it. In the back of the book there is also a section dedicated to her other wilderness works. I am sure that you will enjoy these unique images and fascinating story of Robyn's historic adventure.
